Dear Friends, Family, and Beloved Community of Sikhs and Yogis,

I write to you in response to countless inquiries, rumors, accusations, and speculations in hope of bringing peace.

Firstly, I want to be clear that I support the ongoing investigation of the serious accusations and numerous witness accounts of abuse within our beloved community. I have chosen to remain silent out of respect for this process and will continue to hold further comment until the conclusion of the investigation that has been approved by the organization & community leadership concerned.

Secondly, I want to state unequivocally that I stand for healing of all wounds, all sorrows, all separations, and for healing anything that has ever been placed as a barrier against divine love between all within our community. I stand for the practice of Sikhism and I thank beloved WAHE GURU for having allowed me to be born into this blessed life and practice. I stand for the essence of the science and technology of Yoga that has given so much to me and provided a means of serving humanity.

These are strange and tumultuous times in ways that stretch far beyond the scope and subject of this letter. I believe these are times best navigated with generosity in our hearts and open hands ready to serve. Times when we are reminded of the preciousness of life and the need for greater decency towards one another. Times when people across the world are choosing to speak out from the integrity of their experience, to live honestly and courageously. Times when among the incredible noise we can always find solace in our daily recitations and silent meditations.

To all of you reading this, especially those who experience against-ness toward me, I wish you peace that surpasses understanding and divine love that knows no limits. May your days be full of joy and light.

Sincerely,

Mahan Kirn Kaur Khalsa
